Three Marathons in Three Months.
When he was 18 months old, my oldest son, Ethan, began exhibiting a few of the warning signs associated with Autism. While it is still too early to formally diagnose him, my wife and I have already enrolled him in an early intervention program; the results so far have been incredible. It is important that organizations like Autism Speaks receive donations to continue researching this disorder and evolve treatment/intervention programs.
Because of this, I will be running three marathons in the span of three months; my fourth, fifth, and sixth marathons in the fourth, fifth, and sixth months of this year. While I can't promise an incredible time (especially by the time we get to Seattle...wow I'll be tired) I will promise that I'll finish with my head up and a smile on my face.
I am asking for donations to reach a goal of $250 for each race - for a total of $750. But, that's just a goal, and goals can be exceeded. Any amount you are willing to donate is much appreciated. I ask for your support of this wonderful organization, and for all the good that they are doing to help children like Ethan.
April 28th, I plan on running the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon. A month later, on May 26th, I'll be jetting up to Vermont for the KeyBank Vermont City Marathon. And then, June 22nd, I'll be going to the opposite side of the country to run in the Rock 'n' Roll Seattle Marathon.
Thank you, and God bless you.
