This is what she used to look like ..

I am a court appointed attorney assigned to represent this 38 year old woman. Once a victim of domestic violence, this devoted mother does not have health insurance because of her immigration status. She is being treated at a state hospital for her most basic needs but can't access important rehabilitation services without health insurance.
As a result of this extremely violent attack and the injuries she suffered, (assailant uncertain) she tries to communicate but is locked in her own body hardly able to move at all. Without rehabilitation services, she may never be able to leave the hospital, and certainly will never be able to live independently. Her adolescent daughter is also extremely upset to see her in this hopeless situation. If funds are provided, I will set up an account in her name that can only be used for short and long term health care related services.
