THE STORY:

Chris Waltenburg wrote -

What motivates a person to take on any difficult challenge? Hiking the Appalachian Trail is a long time personal goal of mine, a bucket list item if you will. The journey will undoubtedly present many highs and lows along the way both mentally and physically. I can only imagine the elation I will feel when I arrive at the top of Mt. Katadin, Maine and complete the hike, all 2,185 miles. Ahhhh... Just thinking about it gives me chills.

In addition to my personal goals, I want to raise money and promote work of the Brent Woodall Foundation for Exceptional Children. I also want to shine a light on, and showcase the courage of the parents who live every day in autism’s shadow. The Brent Woodall Foundation empowers parents of children with autism and developmental disabilities and encourages their involvement in their children’s therapy by providing low cost educational training, customized academic and behavioral plans, psychological assessments. I believe that children with autism, as with any illness, should have the best chance possible at a fulfilling life, The Brent Woodall Foundation helps to provide that chance !!
