Never in the history of TI have our services been needed more. To meet this demand, we are seeking financial support to make equipment and technical upgrades totaling $32,590. A breakdown of these upgrades, and their individual costs, follows:
Interactive Learning Center - $7,900
The Samsung television/media center installed in our conference room (see photo) will enhance the abilty of TI faculty and guest speakers to give presentations at workshops, conferences and lectures. We also envision screening films and Ted Talks that address mental health issues. The media center will also provide speakers the option of telecasting their talks if they are unable to be present at TI.
Documentation and Correspondence Center - $23,310
TI's new copy machine is a Toshiba Studio 2555c series model. It costs $19,500 and has multiple functions, including printing brochures, flyers and other marketing materials at a fraction of the cost of what outside printing sources charge. It has an open platform for cloud and mobile printing and scanning, highly valued by our staff and therapists. And it is environmentally friendly.
TI has also purchased the web based software Theranest at a cost of $2,815. Previously, intakes and session notes were written by hand by TI therapists or typed out and then printed, which delayed processing time and required significant amounts of storage. With Theranest, we no longer have paper files. Our therapists can complete patient documentation quickly and easily online. Records are then instantly available for supervisors to review and approve. Theranest also provides additional features for online billing, scheduling, patient reminders, and more.
Also housed in the Documentation and Correspondance Center is our postage machine, costing $516, and a credit card machine ($479) to process payments for therapy sessions and events
Revitalized Website - $1,380
Most, if not all, prospective patients and students will find information about TI through the internet. In redesigning the website, we will create a more aesthetically beautiful, professional, user-friendly site that will attract and engage prospective patients and students. This will improve our online presence, increase our reputability, and assist us in furthering our mission of providing high quality clinical services in the community as well as advanced postgraduate training for professionals.
