Three short documentaries about Tibetan Village Project's (TVP) efforts to raise awareness for women's health, entrepreneurship and sustainable tourism in Tibet.
My name is Balbinka Korzeniowska and I am a filmmaker completing her Master’s in Directing at UCLA. As a humanitarian and filmmaker, I use film as a medium to promote awareness of people who are most in need.
I will be shooting three short documentaries for the Tibetan Village Project (TVP), a non-profit, non-political organization. The films will focus on three TVP initiatives: (i) women's health, (ii) entrepreneurship, and (iii) sustainable tourism. I hope that these films will raise awareness and inspire others to get involved, not just to donate, but to volunteer and become a part of an effort that relieves suffering and reveals our common experience.
To date, I have raised USD $5,000, but in order to fully fund the documentaries, I am asking for an additional USD $20,000. This money will cover travel, the costs of filming in Tibet for three weeks, and all postproduction costs.
The film will be used to raise awareness of the Tibetan Village Project in the non-profit community but also in the film and academic worlds, in which I am immersed through my graduate work at UCLA.
As a small token of my appreciation, I am sending thank you gifts for donations of USD $50 or more.
For a donation of USD $50-250, contributors will receive a Tibetan Village Project hat or t-shirt.
For a donation of USD $250-1,000, contributors will receive a TVP hat or t-shirt and a framed scroll of Tibetan calligraphy.
For a donation of USD $1,000 or more, contributors will receive a TVP hat or t-shirt, a framed scroll of Tibetan calligraphy, and an invitation to a screening of the film in Los Angeles, California
