May 5, 2013, marks the date for the inaugural Texas Irish Cycling Team's very own fundraising ride - a 175 kilometer (110 mile), single day, Waco-to-Dallas road cycling event... to raise at least $175,000 for the Texas Irish Foundation -- the TIF 175×175.
Started by members of the Texas Irish Cycling Team in Dallas, TX, the mission of The Texas Irish Foundation is to support, through donations and our active involvement, those charitable organizations about which we are passionate: women & children in need, medical research for debilitating diseases, the homeless and those men and women who have served in our country’s armed forces.
100% of the money raised by our fundraisers in 2013 will be given to the charities listed below. The Texas Irish Foundation's goal for 2013 is to raise a minimum of $150,000 for our charities:
- Passion for Children's - Children's Medical Center of Dallas
- Genesis Women's Shelter
- National MS Society
- Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America
- Center for BrainHealth
- Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance
- Wounded Warriors
- The Bridge - A Homeless Recovery Center
- Humane Society of Dallas
- The Peruvian American Medical Society
The Texas Irish Foundation operates free of overhead or administrative costs of any kind. Any and all incidental, maintenance or professional expenses associated with the Foundation will be borne by the Texas Irish Cycling Team and paid from membership dues and team sponsors. Accordingly, 100% of all donations raised by and for the Foundation will go to our identified charities.
On behalf of all the members and sponsors of the Texas Irish Cycling Team and its beneficiary organizations, we are incredibly grateful for your support and your generous donation to the Texas Irish Foundation. Thank you!
