Stuff About Me:

Once upon I time I rode my bike everywhere. Work was 50 miles one way (Washington, DC to Baltimore). If the weather was challenging, I walked. Well, I walked to the commuter train. One day riding my bike, don’t know what happened, but I woke up in the hospital. I was bleeding internally, cracked ribs, punctured heart, collapsed lung, fractured skull, and a list of other injuries.  Needless to say, the doctors did not think I would make it.  I woke up one week later to my parents, siblings and best friend surrounding the hospital bed. The first words to come out of my mouth were “where’s my bike”. That bike was expensive. It took years to heal, and hours of Neurologists and other specialist to get me to 80%.

Fast forward, I started a “bucket list”. To move to Chicago, see a White Sox games, Hike the Hancock and run the Chicago Marathon. Chicago here I am! I go to my first Sox game 2015, Hike the Hancock 2016 and Chicago Marathon October 11, 2015.

Please help me reach my $1,000 fundraising goal for the Chicago Marathon and help end homelessness in Chicago today!  Thank you, Tika
