Till School Summer Institute 2016
Organized by: Till School
Event Name: Till School Summer Institute 2016
The 2016 Till School Summer Institute is a week-long design challenge, giving high school students an opportunity to learn the human-centered design process and implement their learnings on a real client project. Our Summer Fellows experience a full week of intensive work, collaborating on solutions posed by our partner organization.
We also care about putting our creative energy towards impacting our community, so this summer, we’ve partnered with Edovo as our client organization. They work provides meaningful access to education and self-improvement tools to unlock the potential of every person affected by incarceration.
Till School teaches high school students the lifelong skills of designing and making, helping them put knowledge into action. Till students learn by doing real work for actual clients with legitimate problems and opportunities. In the process, students develop key skills in leadership, communication and intrinsic motivation.
With Till’s impact, students can explain their vision for what they’d like to do with their talents, and talk about their work and its impact with passion, ownership, and conviction.
