BENEFITING: TIMMY GLOBAL HEALTH
Timmy Global Health at the University of South Carolina is a non-profit organization that seeks to expand access to healthcare and empower students to tackle today's most pressing global health challenges. To achieve this goal, students at USC travel to Tena, Ecuador alongside medical professionals to support the work of our international partners at the Stadler Richter Hospital. We set up clinics in rural communities in the Amazon Basin, and upon completion of our medical brigade will have seen 800 patients. Every 3 months a team from Timmy will visit these communities for the continuation of care for our patients. The medical communities in these rural areas are limited at best and these men, women, and children would have little to no medical care without these medical brigades, which are directly funded by donations.
