The world is not ending but you have to wonder what's going on with the weather – hurricanes, tornadoes, draughts, earthquakes, tsunamis . . . life is out of balance. We need to try harder not to disrupt the ecosystems of our planet so that all species can enjoy this amazing planet.
This summer will be my third triathlon only this year I am doing it for a cause. I am running for the environment and raising money for the National Resource Defense Council: "NRDC's mission is to safeguard the Earth: its people, its plants and animals and the natural systems on which all life depends."
The Nautica New York City Triathlon is just over 50 kilometers long – 1.5 km swim, 40 km bike, and 10 km run. Please help by pledging 10 cents per km ($5) up to $10 per km ($500). Any donation is greatly appreciated and all the money will go to the NRDC and will help preserve our natural environment for years to come. Thank you!
