Currently, I'm the Program Integration Specialist for The Greenhouse Project at NY Sun Works (NYSW,) a non-profit organization that builds innovative science labs in urban schools, using hydroponic farming technology. I help train teachers on how to implement a Science-based urban farming program into the schools’ curriculum and overall environment.
I also developed and teach a Hydroponic/Urban Farming Program at an elementary public school in Harlem, New York. In addition to cultivating an interest in sustainable science and technology in my students, I had served as the school's Magnet Specialist and assisted with integrating the stewardship and sustainability theme into the school's curriculum and culture, while planning and organizing Green events and programs.
Prior to being an Urban Farm Educator, I worked at a change management consulting firm as a Project Specialist and meeting and event planner. A native New Yorker, I dedicate my personal time in serving the community as a Team Leader for New York Cares and as a mentor to High School students in the iMentor program. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Philosophy with a minor in Business Administration from Boston University, and am a candidate for a Master of Science in the Sustainability in Urban Environment program at City College of New York.
