Tina's Gonzaga education
Organized by: christina stevenson
My name is Tina. I am a low income mother of three great kids. In the last decade my children and I have seen rough days, homelessness, addiction, unemployment and tragedy. Six years ago I changed our lives. I fought addiction and have been clean a little over six years now. We have been living on a budget of approximately 300$ for the last five years while I completed my bachelors program and graduated last may, 2016, with a bachelors in Psychology and an additional associates degree . God has blessed us even further. I was accepted to Gonzaga University to complete my masters program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. After many months of looking for jobs and housing in the Spokane area so that we could relocate, God made it clear we needed to stay put and I needed to commute every week for school. My children are very supportive and understanding so we have been able to make a good plan that works. The problem with our situation as it is, is that I have had difficulty finding employment so far and funds for travel, gas and accomidations while in Spokane, have been depleating, creating problems getting to campus. Simple living expenses, bills, gas etc. are what we need until I am able to find employment sufficient for taking care of our family while still commuting for school. Thank you for reading. God bless.
