BENEFITING: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
EVENT DATE: Jan 20, 2013
HOURS PLEDGED: 400
I'm running and walking in the Tinker Bell Half Marathon on January 20, 2013, to help raise funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I am dedicating my efforts in memory to my mom, Faye Barend who died from Large Diffuse B-Cell Lymphoma (blood cancer) on January 2, 2003. This race is in remembrance of her 10th anniversary of her angel date.
I am a blood cancer patient diagnosed October 20, 2010 with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. A future non-toxic treatment, and maybe a cure, is being developed right now for patients like me. Help me raise funds to support research donations to make drugs like these make it out of clinical trials and into the mouths of patients like me awaiting a cure!
Have fun participating in the many challenges and chances at prizes!
Thanks for your love and support!
