Sheep Rock Ranch is getting ready to help some animals in a big way. We've started to cultivate a tiny farm with animals that need a forever home. Many of these animals are being abandoned by their owners. Some can't afford to keep them, others don't have time, and some are animals that are no longer producing what the farmer needs. Here on our tiny farm, the needs we have are different than most farmers. That's why we are more of a rescue and less of a farm. This Ranch is a no kill zone, meaning animals that come here will not be used for food, but instead be here for pleasure. Birds like turkeys, chickens, and ducks will able to keep occupied by the bugs, and leave fertalizer for our soils. Not to mention molted feathers for art work. Animals like horses will have pleanty of room to graze on, and be loved while they recultivate the soil and take trail rides down the immigrant trail to the mountains. Many horses we find are between 15 and 20 years old, and we want them to retire in the best place possible. The goats we are finding are usually males, or females that no longer reproduce. Although we want reproducing animals as well the ones that can't are still able to help us fix this land. We also plan to have a honey bee, and bumble bee sanctuary by the spring of 2017. Sheep, lamas, emus, and other random animals that need homes will also be considered depending on their needs and what we have to offer. The main point of this tiny farm is to love the creatures that come here, and give them the most love and resources we can in the final chapters of their lives. Our budget needs are for... Fencing and fencing tools Feed Nutrients Water containment Amimal cost from owner Transportation & General supplies for each creature (Sattles, milking table, seed feeders, etc)
