Together, the community can accomplish anything. This project is a joint effort by The City of Titusville, 40 Days of Generosity, the Rotary Clubs of Titusville and the Kiwanis Club of Titusville. This is a crowdsourced fundraiser to build a splash park in Sandpoint Park in Titusville, Florida.
Sandpoint Park is a pivotal location, not only being on the waterfront of our beautiful Indian River Lagoon, but also connecting to historic downtown Titusville, and located at the entrance to the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and Canaveral National Seashore. With the completion of the Coast to Coast Connector and St. Johns River to Sea Loop, this park also becomes positioned as a welcoming space for cycling visitor. Tourists and residents of our community will have the benefit of this refreshing park enhancement. Offering a splash pad near the already constructed large playground makes this an ideal project for the community. Children of all ages will enjoy this legacy effort for years to come.
The project is being managed with support from The City of Titusville, in addition to all the other fundraising partners. The City of Titusville has agreed to finance the maintenance of the splash pad after it is constructed, through their contract with the County Parks and Recreation department. Please note that the plans presented here represent TWO phases: the first phase is $200,000...the second phase, which covers some vertical elements in the splash pad and seating and shade cover, is estimated at another $150,000.
