About our programs:
An estimated 11-20% of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). TLCAD's At Ease Program is dedicated to transforming the lives of Wounded Warriors with PTSD, TBI and/or mobility issues by placing custom- trained Service Dogs. Our dogs help veterans and service members by addressing both visible and invisible wounds, increasing their independence and allowing them to reintegrate into their families and communities.
An estimated 1 in 68 children are diagnosed annually with autism spectrum disorder. TLCAD's Leash-On-Life Program is dedicated to transforming the loves of children on the autism spectrum by placing custom-trained Service Dogs. Our dogs help by creating social pathways by which to interact with others, help in transitioning to new places and situations, deter negative behaviors, increase fine motor skills and responsibility and independence, decrease tantrums and eloping (running off) and help entire families cope with the many daily challenges for those on the autism spectrum.
