BENEFITING: PKD Foundation
EVENT DATE: Oct 13, 2013
I am a member of the Nike Pace Team for the Chicago Marathon. This year our team has decided to focus on fundraising for the event in addition to our pacing responsibilities. This past few weeks, my cousins have been struck with some pretty terrible events. In honor of them, I will be running the Chicago Marathon this year for the Cunnea Family. Jim suffers from PKD and is currently scheduled for his second kidney transplant. Nora, his 10 year old daughter, is currently in the hospital after a cyst ruptured in her brain. On October 13th, I will be running 26.2 miles in an effort to pace those around me to their goal time of 4 hours. The race will be about me helping other runners achieve their personal goals. This fundraiser will be about me also trying to help raise money to find a cure for people suffering from PKD. Please consider making a donation on their behalf.
