So, for some unknown reason, I like to run. After I run, I like to drink water. Simple enough, right? Logical. This simple, logical act- drinking water- is something that millions of people around the world can't do- they don't have access to clean drinking water. I met more than a few of them during my travels- in SE Asia, in Nepal, in China, all throughout Africa- and now, every time I turn on the faucet to fill my glass after a run, I'm reminded of them. So, in this year's GO! St. Louis Half-Marathon (4/15), I'm running to help make a difference in these people's lives.
I've joined up with Team Living Water (www.water.cc/living-water/cause-to-run-team-living) to help raise money to bring fresh water wells to people in need around the world. Every cent we raise makes a difference- every dollar donated saves lives. Please join me in the effort to bring the most basic of human necessities to these people in need. I thank you, my teammates thank you, and most of all, the people who will have access to clean water due to your donation thank you.
