In 2013, the Card Subject To Change Podcast Network, New Legacy Inc & Its Raining Meng joined forces to raise money with the sole purpose of purchasing TNA Wrestling from its parent company, Panda Energy. Should they choose to reject our offer, we would donate our earnings to charity. And sure enough, we raised over $6,000 that was rejected by Panda Energy and later donated to the American Cancer Society.
This year, we're all gathering again to join forces with Inter Species Wrestling to once again collect donations to purchase TNA Wrestling from Panda Energy. Given the recent news broken by TMZ about Spike TV allegedly cancelling Impact Wrestling once their contract ends, Panda Energy and the Carter family will undoubtedly be looking to unload their company to the highest bidder. Or any bidder, really. Last year they rejected our offer, but this year....they may not have a choice. Collectively, we feel that we can do a better job creating a more entertaining pro wrestling promotion than the Carter Famiily and we'd like YOUR help to prove that! Give us your money and in turn, we will give you the best (or at best, most ridiculous) wrestling product you've ever seen!
**This is the premise for our fake telethon that will air LIVE on our podcast network on Tuesday, August 12th. The reality is, we'd like to turn this situation seen above and raise some money for a good cause. Every dollar donated will go to Should they once again decide to make a terrible business decision and reject our generous offer, we will be donating our funds to Fighting Back: Wrestling With Cancer. Since 2011, Fighting Back has raised over $35,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society to help find a cure for a disease that has taken many of our loved ones. Help us have a good time radio while we're doing something good in the process!
