To Black Parents Visiting Earth
Organized by: Janet Stickmon
I am excited to announce that I'm releasing my third book, To Black Parents Visiting Earth: A Guide to Raising Black Children in the 21st Century, this December 2017. To Black Parents Visiting Earth is a series of love letters written to parents raising African American children in today's racial climate. I began writing these letters as a parenting blog series in February 2015 on Brokenshackle.net. Since then, the Letters have been published in Mutha Magazine and The Huffington Post. To Black Parents Visiting Earth addresses a full range of topics, including representation, books, hair, dolls, and post-election fear, as well as new, unreleased essays on imagination, multiracial identity, self-care, affection and more.
In the next 45 days, I hope to raise $10,000, but I need your help!!
