To compete at the 2016 Keystone State Games in York, PA
Organized by: Elisa Feliciano
EVENT DATE Jul 30, 2016
Hello everyone! My name is Elisa Feliciano & I am from Wayne, NJ. I have been a martial artist for over 6 years doing both, competing as well as being an assisted instructor for children, special needs children & adults. I hold a brown belt in Shotokan Karate, which is an Okinawan Japanese style of martial arts. I had stopped doing martial arts for 5 years due to medical reasons. I have recently lost over 40 pounds due to a recent gastric sleeve bariatric surgical procedure that I had on February 24, 2016. I have been recovering from my illness & have went back to doing martial arts. I had recently competed at the 2016 NAFMA Nationals Karate Tournament in Atlantic City, NJ on May 28, 2016. This was my first karate tournament in over 45 years that I haven't competed in due to illness. I won first place in all my divisions (forms, weapons, & women's national sparring championship). My goal is to raise the funds so that I can compete on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at the 2016 Keystone State Games in York, PA. This is where you come in. The amount of the donation that I am requesting is to cover for the tournament entry fee, gas (I will be driving from Wayne, NJ to York, PA which is an over 3 hour ride), for tolls & food. After the tournament, I want to drive up to Wilkes-Barre, PA to see my oldest son who I haven't seen in over 2 years so that I can spent some quality time with him. Please make my goal possible to compete at this prestigious sporting event. I really appreciate your help. Thank you so much for your donation & God bless!
