826CHI is a non-profit organization serving students from elementary to high school with their creative and expository writing skills. Founded by acclaimed author Dave Eggers, 826 serves students from public schools across the city, providing after-school tutoring, student field-trips, weekend workshops, and college essay assistance. Volunteers provide consistent high-quality programming for children, inspiring them to become poets, novelists, code-creaters, comic-artists, playwrights, and lovers of all things literary. The happy buzz of the tutoring room after school each day is, in my personal experience, unmatched by any other joyful sound in this city, and your donation will ensure that this generations of students to come can access this incredible, unique programming.
