Todd Alford's Fight Against ALS
Organized by: Lori Alford
My husband was diagnosed in October 2013 and has deteriorated so quickly. As of May 2014 he had to have a trache placed because he could no longer breathe on his own. Since then he has been bedridden, he can't walk, talk, or move his arms. It is devastating emotionally, physically and financially. After the insurance pays we still have to pay a ridiculous amount of pocket. We have equipment costs alone that are a few thousand out of pocket plus thousands for supplies that aren't covered. I had to quit work to care for him because insurance won't pay for nursing care. Unfortunately since there is only his disability income we can't pay for it all. I refuse to let him go into a nursing home and I'm scared with all of the debt we are accruing it may happen if I can't raise the funds. Please help me prevent that from happening. Thanks everyone in advance for anything you can help with, even if it's advice, it too is greatly appreciated!
