One of City College of San Francisco's respected astronomy instructors, Todd Rigg-Carriero, had his laptop stolen from his office during one of our community events. It may be a a bit of a long-shot, but we hope to help replace it!

His support of our school's Astronomy Department, as well as being the faculty advisor for the CCSF Astronomy Club warrants that we should take action to help rectify the situation.

As many people know, teachers and instructors don't have the greatest salary, nor are the wallets of the student body at all thick. Student grades and his work material all depend on that data, and though that much cannot be replaced, not having a laptop isn't helpful either.

This was a really unfortunate occurrence, especially when we had all put in hard work to host a public astronomy event to have had this happen. While a police report was filed, there was very little information to identify the culprit as it occurred during an event. Why someone would be so desperate to steal an instructor's laptop? We have no clue.

We appreciate any bit of help. Trying is the very least we can do, and hopefully that we're able to do something about this unfortunate situation!

Thank you!
