Hi my name is Anali (ana-lee) but my friends call me Ana. October 2015 my life was changed forever when I was diagnosed with invasive MRSA that caused me to become septic and caused pneumonia. I ended up with kidney failure and was put on dialysis, I also needed a blood transfusion, and my right lung collapsed therefore needing a chest tube. I spent 32 days in ICU 21 days asleep on a ventilator, and week in rehab to learn how to walk. I almost lost my life to super bug called MRSA, "Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection is caused by a type of staph bacteria that's become resistant to many of the antibiotics used to treat ordinary staph infections" (Mayo Clinic). MRSA is not just found in hospitals, nursing homes, or doctors offices it is found where you work, at your favorite workout class, your favorite clothing store, and maybe even in your home. Together with MRSA Survivors Network I am helping raise money to bring awareness to a disease that kills so many. MRSA does not care where you come from, your ethnicity, race or gender; it takes the lives of over 20,000 people a year in the United States alone. 100% of the donations are going straight to MRSA Survivors network to help bring awareness, advocate across the world, and find a cure. As MRSA evolves it has become more and more resistant to antibiotics without constant research we might lose our chances of beating this disease. >All Donations are accepted no amount to little, join me as I bring a voice to those who lost their lives to this silent killer and bring awareness. >100% donations go to MRSA Survivors Network
