Tom Melton's recovery
Organized by: Carol Melton
On July fourth my son Tom Melton was seriously injured in a mountain biking accident at Tamarack ski resort on the mountain biking trails. He suffered a broken neck and other minor injuries . He was rescued out of the accident area by an amazing group of people who are familiar with mountain terrain rescue , along with several volunteers carrying Tom by stretcher to a waiting ambulance to take him down the mountain where the life flight helicopter took him to St Al's Hospital in Boise Idaho. Their expert team of physicians assessed his injuries.. Tom had to have immediate neck surgery, His neck was broken in two places. Blessed to be alive! Tom had only been on his job as a sheet metal worker for a short while , the company just started working on a health insurance plan but was not in effect yet . consequently at the time of the accident no health insurance to cover medical bill that are piling up fast. can't work can't pay his rent can't pay bills and so goes the snow ball effect. Tom going to need a lot of physical therapy along with love and support. He is a loving guy . Tom loves living life loves extreme sports and will help a friend or stranger at the drop of a hat. We are asking for any donation you can spare every little bit will help You can find Tom on Face Book for update on his progress Sincere thanks ahead of time!!
