BENEFITING: GANLEY FOUNDATION
On June 29th, I will participate in my first Ironman distance triathlon (Ironman Austria) in an effort to raise money for The Ganley Foundation. For those who do not know, this is a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26.2 mile run. I have been committed to training towards this event for almost a year and it will all culminate with a 12 to 15 hour day on June 29th. (Hopefully!)
However, more than just a physical accomplishment, this is an endeavor that will help save lives. The Ganley Foundation is a non-profit organization near to my heart. It began 10 years ago when Jimmy Ganley, who would today be my brother-in-law, died by suicide at the age of 22 due to undiagnosed depression. Therein began the important mission of educating communities about mental health, depression and challenging those stigmas that prevent proper intervention and treatment. My wife’s family founded this non-profit through resilience and courage and have successfully prevented such tragedy from happening to other families through the organization’s educational services. 100% of all funds raised will go directly to this. With your help more lives can be saved.
Please join me on this journey. Thank you!
