I'm excited to run the Chicago Marathon this year to support Chicago HOPES for Kids' educational programs for children living in Chicago's homeless shelters. Please consider one of the following donations to this great cause:
$25 = 2 new books for children plus one day of enrichment activities
$50 = One week of enrichment activities for students at one shelter
$100 = One week of enrichment activities for students at one shelter, plus 5 days of healthy snacks for all children at one shelter
$150 = New educational games for a shelter
Over 20,000 Chicago Public School students identify as homeless. These students often struggle to keep up with schoolwork, losing up to half a year of learning time with each move they make. Chicago HOPES for Kids works in homeless shelters across the city to make up for this gap in learning by matching students with tutors for targeted reading and homework support. We also provide science and arts enrichment programs for these students, who often don’t have access to the outside activities that their peers do. Thank you for your support!
