Thanks for much for the support. This training season has been awesome for me as last year it was abbreviated. I am psyched to be on the same team as you and even more so because I got to know you this year.
Thanks again

Hi,

It's been two weeks since the Marathon and I think I've finally recovered. Today's amazing weather was a stark contrast to running in the cold ran on April 20th. My feet became numb by mile 5 yet I was able to keep a four hour pace going thru Wellesley. Unfortunately, my two months of training and injuries caught up to me on the hills in Newton. My knee would lock-up, forcing me to stop and walk til it would unlock. Thus, I was able to finish under 4:30 which was my goal based on the circumstances. It was a tough day to run but still an amazing experience running by such a great crowd.

Thank you so much for your donation and support! While I ran, your generosity reminded me why I was running. In two months, I was able to raise just under $6k to assist the Joe Andruzzi Foundation in raising over $160k from the Boston Marathon. Your generosity will assist many families dealing with cancer. Thank you!

It's done! I Finished the Boston Marathon! It only took 5 hours and 45 minutes : ) It was a cold, wet and windy day, but I was prepared as all my training was completed in less than desirable weather conditions. I did think of all of you at least once on my run. I kept repeating "I promised to do my Best, to be my Best" I had a wonderful moment at mile 17.50 seeing my family and having Chloe run to me. My finish will always be a lifelong favorite memory as Lori was able to join me and run across the finish hand in hand. I couldn't have had this moment if not for all your support!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SPONSORSHIP AND FOR SUPPORTING THE SOUTH NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSE!

It's done! 3:49:18. As Marathons go, Boston 2015 is definitely an in-between, midway between my personal best and my worst, time-wise. On the plus side: My muscles didn't cramp, my feet and knees stood up to the pounding, my asthma did not act up. On the negative, I "hit the wall" after Cleveland Circle and had to struggle home, especially over the very familiar terrain between Coolidge Corner and Audubon Circle. Perhaps I should have started out slower, or paused for a bite at the Natick-Framingham line, or not worn a wind-catching, water-retaining jacket on a cold, wet and windy day, or rested and not run the Saturday and Sunday before. One thing for sure, the Boston Marathon commands respect. It will never, ever go down without a fight. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SPONSORSHIP AND FOR SUPPORTING WALKBOSTON!

Dear Family and Friends, …
Dear Family and Friends,

Well the day is almost here, in approximately 24 hours I will be crossing the finish line of the 119th Boston Marathon. I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you. Your donations have helped me raise enough money to help 9 families!!! 9 Families!!!!

At our team pasta dinner last night, I had the opportunity to meet Amy, a cancer patient who was a recipient of one of the grants. This woman was so appreciative of us (the fundraisers). As she told her story, there wasn't a dry eye in the room. Amy is an incredibly courageous, brave, and strong woman.
I will be thinking of her throughout my whole race, because running 26.2 miles is NOTHING compared to what she is going through.

Thank you all for your love and support!!!
Much Love,
Dawn

What an incredible accomplishment and I have YOU to thank for that!

You can track me by text or web. Easiest will probably be by text.

You can track me on race day (Monday, April 20th) by texting my Bib Number: 29854 to the phone number 234567.

Time for one last thank you to you, my sponsors, before the big race. Weather reports suggest focus will be on finishing rather than setting a P.R. Fitting end to a brutal training season. Thanks to you, we did well by WalkBoston. If you care to track my progress, text my number, 16852, to 234567. You'll get text bulletins when I cross various sensor wires. Thanks so much for your generous support!

Hi All, The Boston Marathon…
Hi All,

The Boston Marathon is tomorrow and I wanted to extend a huge thank you for your generous donation to GoKids and support along the way. I started this journey six months ago and feel prepared to tackle 26.2 miles on Monday.

Most importantly, due to you, I have raised $5,700 ($700 over my goal!) that will directly support youth scholarships, so that Boston students can attend GoKids fitness programs at no cost to their families. Because of you, students in Boston Public Schools will be able to participate in cardio workouts, nutrition lessons, strength training sessions, and learn about the science behind their workouts.

If you'd like to track me tomorrow, you can do so by text, web or mobile app.

BAA website: http://www.baa.org/

Text Alerts: Simply text my Bib Number (29849) to 234567 using your mobile phone. On race day, you will receive six text alerts as I reach the 10k, 13.1 mile, 30k, 35k, 40k and Finish Line.

Android - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.baa.marathon&hl=en
iPhone - https://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/boston-athletic-association/id632231310

Thanks again for supporting GoKids and making my dreams come true.
