Please help us raise the most money in the #risetothrive Charity Challenge so that we can win.
Here's why: We will provide a #toolkit to children attending rurals school k-12 in Eastern Visayas, the Philippines who are in need of book backs, pencils, paper, uniforms, and transportation so that they can attend school.
Did you know: Unlike public schools here in the USA Philippine public schools are not free. Hundreds of thousands of kids are not able to attend school because families can’t afford the basic essentials. Our program helps children and youth succeed with their educational needs and daily studies.
So here's how CEPI is helping to improve education and family sustainability:
Community Empowerment Programs, Inc., Quaser Engineering and Construction Company, and the WMJE Multi Task Alternative Learning Program need your help and support to build a New Alternative-Learning-Center (ALC) and rebuild schools for students in Eastern Visayas, Philippines.
Your donations will help with the following construction needs:
A. SEPTIC TANK’S | There is no cafeteria and kids are eating on top of the septic tank as their dining table! This is not sanitary and continues to pose a risk to sickness and potential disease
B. CLASS ROOM and CHAIR | Class rooms are very old, dirty and rusty. They have been used since 1960 when many schools were first built and when it rains the roof leaks and kids are grouped in one corner to keep the class going, and stay dry!
C. FACILITIES | Many Eastern Visayas School lack proper facilities! Kids are still receiving instruction on the class room flooring which is bare and sets on ground soil.
CEPI began working on this project in 2011 and has served 125 elementary school kids and their families by providing uniforms, notebooks, writing utensils, and transportation. This partnership seeks to increase support in order to continue to develop modern facilities.
Please help us make these much needed repairs and build new facilities by our Tools for School Kids Program. Your donations are tax-deductible.
Thank you for your support.
