Too manyLiver cancer bills
Organized by: Richard Ellis
My liver doctor had me undergo MRI tests on Monday December 7, 2015. Tests revealed cancers in my liver. Our livers are made up mainly of cells called hepatocytes. They also are made up of other types of cells, including cells that line its blood vessels and cells that line small tubes in the liver called bile ducts. The bile ducts extend out of the liver and carry bile from the liver to the gallbladder or directly to the intestines. These different types of cells in the liver can form several types of malignant (cancerous) growth. The 5-year survival rate from liver cancer is about 15%. Part of the reason for this low survival rate is that most patients with liver cancer also have other liver problems such as cirrhosis, (I have cirrhosis) which itself can be fatal. Thanks in advance for your generosity. I have to have an embolization procedure soon to kill my cancer tumors.
