We are a Social Enterprise Startup called Toonari Post with a vision of creating the largest contributor network in the world, while providing free education.
Our goal is to open up a Florida-based facility in March 2012 that will provide free onsite training in digital media and journalism. The facility will be the cornerstone of our news community, and a model for future facilities in Africa and other underdeveloped countries and suppressed regions and will serve 10,000 worldwide by the end of 2012.
The training facility will be accessible to everyone regardless of their education level and financial means.
We hope to inspire students and non-students to return to their neighborhoods, regions and countries, and pursue careers that will help to build an infrastructure in the field of digital media and journalism, which can range from establishing a news media company to an ecommerce platform that will sell services or products and support the local community by creating jobs.

We will provide a live stream to cover team meetings, classrooms and everything else that is going on.
I want to join the training program. What should I do?
Visit http://www.toonaripost.com/journalism-internships/ and fill out the form on the right hand side and we will set you up for an initial meeting via Skype. After that you will be scheduled for your first training class and be assigned to your team.
What will you do after 2012?
Our idea is as simple as it is complex. We represent a new kind of news media enterprise in which profit-maximizing and social-benefit-maximizing coexist.
Our vision is to operate much like a profit-maximizing business in that the company as a whole grows financially and gains profits while creating social capital and translating it back to traditional revenue with the focus on giving back to communities, organizations and individuals around the world with no need for additional donations.
Where did you get the name from?
