"Can't Stop! Won't Stop!" Never give up... That's long been one of my life mottos. Both my husband & I have many family members & friends who currently serve or have served in our nation's military. We also have a deep passion for education & supporting others as they work to achieve their dreams.
As many of you know, Pat Tillman was a professional football player (Arizona Cardinals) who walked away from a big-money NFL contract to enlist in the U.S. Army in the wake of 9/11. In April 2004, he died serving with the 75th Ranger Regiment in Afghanistan, and his memory lives on today through the work of the Pat Tillman Foundation. Pat’s family and friends created the Pat Tillman Foundation to honor his legacy. Today the foundation focuses on supporting an incredible group of leaders – the Tillman Scholars. These scholars are creating positive change across the country in the elds of medicine, law, business, education, the arts and more.
I have signed up to participate in the 12th Annual Pat’s Run (in Tempe, AZ) on Saturday April 23rd – an event which honors the memory of Pat Tillman while raising scholarships for the Tillman Scholars. This year, I’ve pledged to raise $100 to support the Tillman Scholars. Can you help me reach that goal?
Thanks for your support – I promise to live my dash on April 23rd!
