Hospital Fashion is the BEST
October 25, 2016

My daughter Aja was a participant in the Gear-Up scholarship program beginning in her eighth grade year. In 2012, Aja's hard worked was rewarded as she received a Gear-Up scholarship upon graduation. Having secured a $10,000 schorship and the state funded Millinium Scholarship Aja was in an excellent position to pay for college. With one semester left before Aja was to receive her her associate's degree and be eligible to transfer to a state university she fell ill. In May of 2016, she was rushed to the hospital and was immediately admitted. For several weeks Aja clung to life, fighting a bacteria infection that had lodged on her heart valve. My twenty-two year old vibrant daughter was septic, the infection was spreading and had also lodged in her lungs The doctors took surgery off the table because of the location of the colony of bacteria. Finally, Aja turned the corner and her long road to recovery began. After three months in the hospital, the doctors discharged her and told her she was allowed to fly to see family in another state. Three days after being discharged, her father rushed her back to a hospital in his state, where she underwent heart valve replacement surgery. God is awesome, Aja was discharged one month later, in September, and slowly continues to regain her strength. Aja lost both hard earned scholarships as they applied only to her state of residence at graduation. Aja wants to finish school but does not have a finaicial aide package has and now has to pay out of state tuition. Aja is too traumatized to return to the state where she grew up and graduated from high school to finish college. Help this deserving young lady realize her dream of finishing college. Please donate to her fund.
