BENEFITING: Touch A Life Foundation
EVENT DATE: Nov 06, 2016
Thank you for visiting my Crowdrise page! I am running the 2016 TCS New York City Marathon on November 6th, and I’d like to invite you to support me by helping me raise funds for Touch A Life through my participation in the race. Touch A Life is a non-profit organization that develops creative ways to bring healing and empowerment to those who are suffering, exploited, and at-risk around the world. The Touch A Life Care Center in Kumasi, Ghana, is home to 76 children who have been rescued from forced labor and exploitation. The Touch A Life Care Center is the only long-term facility for child survivors of forced labor in Ghana.
I learned about Touch A Life after reading Co-Founder Pam Cope’s memoir, Jantsen’s Gift, recommended as a most read by Wesley korir, a marathoner champion. Jantsen’s Gift is about the loss of Pam Cope son and the creation of the foundation. I was moved to do something to make a difference. Every dollar makes an impact, so join me in raising awareness and funds for this world-changing organization!
I can make a difference in this world, but together we can make a substantial impact!
