EVENT DATE: Oct 11, 2014
On October 11th, I will traverse 12 miles of grueling mud, endure electric shocks, dive into ice cold water, crawl under barbed wire and scale 12 foot walls. Created and designed by British Special Forces, "The Tough Mudder is Probably the Toughest Event on the Planet."
That all being said, the Tough Mudder is nothing compared to the risks and dangers our first responders face every day. To recognize their service and in memory of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, I will run the 2014 Tri State Tough Mudder to raise money for the New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund, a 501(c)(3) charity dedicated to assisting the families of New York City Firefighters, Police Officers, Port Authority Police and EMS workers killed in the line of duty (answerthecall.org).
Donations will be made to the Benefit Fund in memory of NYPD Police Officer Norman R. Cerullo, Sr., end of watch, April 2, 1978.
New York’s first responders have answered the call. Now it’s your turn. Donations in any amount are greatly appreciated. Please contact me if you have an interest in joining the team.
