Hello Family and friends,
I just signed up and committed to ride in Tour De Rouge bicycle ride from Houston to New Orleans which is only 537 miles over 5 days starting May 1-6, 2016 http://www.redcross.org/tourdurouge. I was looking for something exhilarating and challenging as well as a way to contribute to a good cause.
The Cause of the Tour and my participation in the Tour du Rouge-2016 supports American Red Cross Chapters along the Gulf Coast from Houston to New Orleans. Just a few key facts:
- The American Red Cross provides emergency assistance when people are forced from their homes by fires, floods or other disasters.
- Military families stay connected through American Red Cross Emergency Communication.
I am looking forward to this ride, challenge and journey along the Gulf Coast, having the satisfaction of knowing you and me along with any donations you may contribute to help the cause will make life better in these communities.
Here are the Tour Details
- Ride Dates: May 1-6 , 2016
- 537 miles total, average ride of 90 miles per day. I am looking forward to the training and commitment necessary to make the journey successful.
I am asking for your assistance to help me reach my goal by making a donation of your choice*****My goal is to raise $10,000 to support the Red Cross its outreach and mission
Every 60 seconds ... the lifesaving mission of the Red Cross has benefited 250 people. I've always known the Red Cross was out there to support our brother and sisters in arms.
Your donations are helping to save the day when disasters strike. When a neighbor's house burns down. When someone needs a lifesaving blood transfusion. When a family needs to contact a deployed service member in an emergency. When a child needs a hug and a blanket.
The gift that SAVES THE DAY is the gift you give today. Thank you for your contributions and your support. Please feel free to share this with your friends, family and neighbors.
Their are 177 slots still available so if you are open to the challenge come join me on the trek from Houston to New Orleans.
