Help me ride across America

THE STORY:

Hi Everyone, My name is Armando and I'm reaching out for your help. For the past few years, I've watched video after video about walking across America. At first, I had set out to walk across the country and I was fascinated. But, you know how you can watch one thing on YouTube then all of a sudden get a suggestion for something else? Yeah.. That happen to me. I saw someone riding across America and immediately I realized THAT was what I truly wanted to do. Last year, I made a partial part of that trip happen. I packed my bags and departed from Jacksonville, FL. Rode all the way through GA into NC, TN, then into Alabama. The goal of my ride was to help disabled veterans and raise money for a charity. It was the most incredible experience I ever had. Then one day, I got a call with family emergencies happening. I had to return home to help my family and caused me to put an end to my journey. I hopped on a train and my intuition was telling me that I would regret returning home.. Truth is, I did. Within the last year of living at home again, I have found myself to be depressed, homeless, and feeling without a cause in life. So I have decided to change all of that around. See truth is, I come from a low income middle class family.. And most of my funds go towards helping my friends, family, and necessities. So the bit of funds I have could never get me across country. So I need your help. Last year, I rode in honor of Disabled Veterans and this year.. I want to ride to inspire. See, when I was a kid I was morbidly obese. I weighed in at 320lbs at the age of 16. I was miserable and I know first hand what it's like. So I want to ride to inspire others to get out there and make the change. A change for the better and show them that.. It does take hard work, but hard work pays off in ten folds. I'd also be interested in volunteering at local events with different things. Even teaching dance and more. I feel like this is what I have been meant to do for a long time. Any donation could help me get closer to my goal and would be an amazing blessing. See truth is, I'm about to be homeless again soon.. And I feel like life is not bringing me down.. But only making me realize that.. All these places I go to live.. Just isn't where I am destined to be. I'm meant to be out on the road making a difference, and through crowd rise I plan to make that difference. Now, I will state.. This isn't a cheap task.. But I do not think 10,000 is my actual need.. But I set it as a goal. Going on this trip, I would need a new bike, I am currently riding on an old road bike that isn't structurally stable to cross America with panniers. My shifters are damaged after a recent crash and has a major chip on the chainstay. If I did achieve the $10,0000 it would definitely help incase I need emergency cash to live a few days in a hotel or a motel. For example, last year when I toured America. I rode into the path of an oncoming tornado. I had to rent a hotel room for 4 days as well as stock up on emergency supplies. If you read this.. Please take a second to think about how much closer any contribution made could help me. I'd even be interested in meeting people who donated towards my cause. Thank you for taking your time to read this. I wish you all the best and much love! Love, Armando
