Forty years ago in the spring of 1975 Craig Dobkin, a rugby player for Baltimore Rugby Football Club, with Ron Stringer and Matt McGlone, promoted starting a rugby club via word of mouth and an advertisement in the Towerlight. The rest is history!
What some of you might not know is that Craig Dobkin founded another organization twenty years later, this one using cooperative play to bring people together from countries in conflict. It's called Play for Peace and it has reached over 1 million children bringing laughter, compassion and peace to some of the most dangerous areas in the world.
In honor of this amazing we work, we are using our Rugby spirit of honor, grit and perserverance to support groups of Play for Peace youth, who in the face of great challenge, are fighting for peace in their communities.
$1,000 sponsors 1 Play for Peace Club for a year where there is conflict. For example, Christians are the minority and being persucuted in areas like Pakistan, India, Israel, South Sudan and Kenya and we have local youth and community leaders working hard to change that.
