BENEFITING: THINK PINK ROCKS
ORGANIZER: THINK PINK ROCKS
EVENT: NYC Half 2012
EVENT DATE: Mar 18, 2012
Friends & Family,
On March 18th, 2012, I will be running with thousands in the NYC Half Marathon. I am running on behalf of the Team "Think Pink Rocks" to raise money for breast cancer research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Breast cancer is a disease that has directly affected my family as well as my friends. Unfortunately, there are too many people I know who have had a personal experience with breast cancer. I will be running this race for all of them.
I've pledged to raise at least $1,000 before race day. I would greatly appreciate your support in any way. All donations are accepted no matter how many zeros are at the end.
My sister, Lauren, will also be running for "Think Pink Rocks". If you'd like to sponsor her please visit her page at: http://www.crowdrise.com/TPRNYCHALF2012/fundraiser/Laurengrossberg
THINK PINK ROCKS is a non-profit organization whose mission is to raise awareness about early detection of and genetic testing for breast cancer and to provide funding for screening, treatment and research. All money raised for Think Pink Rocks from the NYC Half 2012 will benefit breast cancer research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.
Think Pink Rocks is a 501 (c) (3) organization. Contributions to Think Pink Rocks are tax deductable to the extent allowable by law.
Did you know:
• A woman's risk of developing breast and ovarian cancer is greatly increased if she carries the BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutation (Breast Cancer gene mutation).
• Men with these mutations also have an increased risk of breast and prostate cancer. Our team will raise money and awareness for breast cancer research.
