I've been training for the New York City Half Marathon - 13.1 miles - and decided to put this hard work to good use. It seems as though everyone either has personally experienced or knows someone affected by breast cancer.
I chose Think Pink Rocks because they focus on the research and raising awareness about early detection. They provide funding for screening and treatment as well. I have been extremely impressed by all of my contact with them and am grateful to be running on their team.
From Think Pink Rocks
All money raised for Think Pink Rocks from the NYC Half 2012 will benefit breast cancer research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Some members of our team have a direct connection to breast cancer, but we also have many team members who are running or walking simply because they want to support a great cause.
