Hey Everyone! You've come to the right page :) :)
As you may know, I am an avid recreational runner and the perfect opportunity finally came about for me to run the NYC Half Marathon - I am going for it but I need your support to reach the finish line!!!
The event is St. Patrick's Day, March 17th, 2013, and I know I can count on you to support my ambitions and a wonderful NYC organization! One of my favorite local charities, Free Arts NYC, has offered to sponsor me in the race and I am so excited to get started and to be a member of Team Free Arts.
My involvement with Free Arts NYC began in 2006 when I was an member of the NYU undergraduate community service club, Stern Cares, and I volunteered at Free Arts NYC weekend events. Later on, as President of Stern Cares I organized events on behalf of the club with Free Arts and have been looking to get involved again in a new way ever since graduation. One of my fondest Free Arts memories was working with Juliana over the course of one Saturday afternoon when I was in my Senior year at NYU. The morning was a bit of a struggle with Juliana but as she warmed up to me and realized I was only there to be her friend we made some incredible arts & crafts projects together and at the end of the day we traded our work to remember the time spent together. I am so happy to be doing something I truly love for a charity I truly believe in!
To learn more about Free Arts NYC please visit their website: http://www.freeartsnyc.org. In short, "Free Arts NYC provides under-served children and families with a unique combination of educational arts and mentoring programs that help them to foster the self-confidence and resiliency needed to realize their fullest potential." Free Arts NYC guarantees that "100% of funds raised through Team Free Arts events benefit Free Arts NYC's arts mentoring programs, helping low-income children build self-confidence, communication & problem solving skills, and the creativity to make them successful in life."
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT - I KNOW WE CAN DO THIS TOGETHER!
