BENEFITING: CHILDRENS WELFARE INTERNATIONAL - CWI
For those of you who know, love and occasionally tolerate me, it will likely come as no surprise that I have decided to travel to Kenya in March to help my friend and colleague Denise Dore in her mission to help bring love and assistance to Toto Love Orphanage in rural Embu.
I didn't plan to go until 3 days ago. We will be leaving from Vancouver on March 14, 2011 and while I am still learning exactly what is needed, I am hoping that in the next five weeks we'll be able to raise money and donations to show these incredible children just how much they mean to us.
Denise has been working closely with them for several years to help support this small and often overlooked group. They have been operating since 2005 and are currently supporting 20 orphans who, in addition to growing up without their parents, are also encumbered with HIV.
If you'd like to learn more about Toto Love Orphanage, here are two websites that detail their hard work and efforts:
www.onlykindnessmatters.net and http://cwionline.org/?s=Toto+Love
I am hoping that with your support Denise and I can make this an even more successful journey to bring love and hope to these special children.
