I struggled with drug addiction for 27 years! It wasn't until I came to Mn Adult & Teen Challenge that I realized that not only was there another way to live, but that I deserved to live!! 8 years later, I am the assistant to the Women's Program Director and I do a weekly lecture for our Life Renewal Program. I LOVE GIVING BACK!! I realize that God didn't save me to just live a mundane life...He saved me for a purpose and that purpose is to help bring hope to those still dying in their addictions!! I have seen too many literally die from their addictions the past couple years and I've seen how that can tear families apart and leave children without both the parents they deserve.
This year I walk in rememberance of Ryan Barnes, who lost his life just over a year ago to a heroin overdose. I walk for the son and wife that he left behind, the grieving mother and family and all those that he touched with his life that just don't understand how this could happen.
We have to make a stand! We have to say, "NO MORE!" Please help support me in this walk so that this money can be used to reach those still lost in addiction! God wants for none to be lost and He needs our help in that mission!!
