BENEFITING: TRAGEDY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR SURVIVORS
ORGANIZER: TRAGEDY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR SURVIVORS
I am the proud sister of Cpl. Jose A. Velez KIA in Fallujah, Iraq Nov 2004 and Spc. Andrew Velez died by suicide Sharona, Afghanistan July 2006. We are the Legacy of Roy Velez Jr.
I will be running with Team TAPS as not only a survivor but to honor all of our Heroes.
TAPS has helped me through my grief journey with mentor support, grief seminars, and countless hours of love and support from so many at TAPS.

Run with Team TAPS at the TCS New York City Marathon! Hundreds of people every year participate in Team TAPS events throughout the country to remember and honor our fallen service members--while raising funds and awareness to assist TAPS. Run with confidence that every dollar you fundraise goes quickly to provide help, hope, and healing to the families who are left behind. If you are up for a challenge in both endurance and fundraising, have a caring heart, and would like to honor the memory of a fallen service member, then we would love to have you join Team TAPS at the TCS New York City Marathon!
The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) offers compassionate care to all those grieving the death of a loved one serving in our Armed Forces. Since 1994, TAPS has provided comfort and hope 24 hours a day, seven days a week through a national peer support network and connection to grief resources, all at no cost to surviving families and loved ones.
