Training for Tripp
Organized by: Theodore VanOflen
Shortly after moving to Texas, we found an ad online that had pictures of an adorable puppy and stated that if someone did not take him in the next three days he would be euthanized. My girlfriend, wanting a dog, and wanting to save a life immediately had the owner drop him off with us. He has been a handful, but a loving, happy dog. He was incredibly timid when we got him. He would bark at men, and people of color. He had many bad habits we had to break. With much work, Tripp turned the corner and turned out to be a great dog. Unfortunately, out of nowhere last night he snapped at someone very close to us, who has been around him extensively. At this point, we are being advised to either spend $1300 on extensive behavior modification, or put him down. This is the first dog I have ever had, and I know deep down inside with the right help, he can live a happy life. Please consider helping, we are not asking those who are donating to cover the entire cost for us. I recently transitioned jobs, and just need enough to make the initial payment to get him into the training program. We love this dog, he loves us, and his little sister. Please help us save one of the most joyful members of our family. Your kindness and generosity are wholeheartedly appreciated. We love our pup, and know he does not deserve to be put down as is being reccommended because he had a rough start on life. Feel free to contact me with any questions or suggestions.
Tripp is a GSP / Dalmation mix, with some unknown genes in him. I would not be turning towards crowdfunding if I had any other choice in the world. It is make this work, or say goodbye to my best friend in the whole world.
