Shopping for Jesus

One of the strangest things about hosting Motown Mission teams is the amoung of groceries we get to buy each week. Today I bought so much frozen broccoli that the GFS cashier actually made fun of me!
The fun continues when we all get back to Metro UMC and the #tl2012 interns get to play an organic sort of Tetris game getting all the perishable food into the fridge. They're getting pretty good though! Only had to run up to use the third floor Sarah Fife room 1950's fridge once :)
But just like in Ezra, it's the feeding of the workers and the sharing in gathering the resources that help God's people participate in God's foundation building. So we're happy to do it - just as long as we spread out our broccoli buying from now on.
If you or any church you know is looking to donate a REFRIEGERATOR or DEEP FREEZER the Motown Mission and Metro Kidz programs could both make good use of them! Visit http://www.motownmission.org/donate to find the Motown Mission Wish List!
The TRANSFORMING LEADERS are college students who come to Detroit for 8 weeks in the Summer to serve in local ministries and non-profits, live in intentional Christian community, and discern God's call on their lives. Join in supporting these young people as they serve God by serving others!
