I will be competing in this year's Ironman at Lake Placid in order to raise money for the Travis Manion Foundation. Please find the webpage link and brief description of the phenomenal work the foundation does.
For those of you who are not familiar with what an Ironman is, it is a triathlon where althletes complete the following back to back in one day:
Swim: 2.4 miles
Bike: 112 miles
Run: 26.2 miles (yes it is a full Marathon at the end!)
Please join me in supporting a great cause, all donations are grately appreciated, no matter how small.
Also please see my Crowdrise profile for other charities/events such as Reserve Aid. Reserve Aid is the Team that I have been training with for this challenge and their foundation also does inspiring work for the real heroes in this country. reserveaid.org

About the Travis Manion Foundation
The Travis Manion Foundation targets the issues that face our veterans, survivors, and military community by focusing on building community through social interaction, team building events, and mentoring and advocacy. We treat the people we serve as individuals and with respect. By empowering our military community, we are able to bring their strength and spirit of service to everyday citizens. Their stories are powerful tools for educating and activating people to emulate their selfless service. Our goal is to connect the military and civilian communities through service. By empowering 1 veteran or survivor, we are able to educate and activate 100 citizens. Together, we can bridge the gap and create an environment where veterans and survivors are seen as civic assets.
