BENEFITING: Big City Mountaineers
EVENT DATE: Aug 25, 2017
Climb Longs Peak with Backpacker Magazine! At 14,259 feet, Longs Peak presents visitors with challenging hiking, spectacular climbing, and stunning views. Whether you would like to hike The Keyhole Route or The North Face Route, standing on the summit of Longs is the experience of a lifetime! This 2-day climb will allow not only for some time to acclimatize, but also an overnight in a picturesque boulder field before your summit attempt. As the sole concessionaire for technical guiding in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado Mountain School guides are able to carry technical climbing equipment that offers clients a layer of safety and experience.
How does it work?
You pay a non-refundable registration fee & agree to fundraise $3,000 to climb Longs Peak. BCM pays your guide fee of $475 (of course you can donate an additional $475 if you want all the funds you raise to go to BCM!). Then you fundraise up to your goal & spread the word about BCM, and go on an awesome climb!
For more information on this trip, including the equipment you need, the itinerary, and more, please see the Longs Peak page on the Big City Mountaineers' website.
