On Sept. 22, the building housing the Tennessee Respite Coalition experienced a fire that damanged or destroyed its office equipment and paper files – and left the nonprofit without a home office. We're trying to help the TRC rise above the ashes with donations from its supporters.
The day after the fire, the TRC staff was returning calls and sending respite reimbursement checks to caregivers. The dedication to their mission to serve family caregivers hasn't been dampened by all the fire/water damage.
Insurance may cover replacement of essential items and some recovery of documents, but the future cost the the TRC will be huge. Any office space that they find will be more than double what the organization has budgeted for and that can be covered by grants. (And if you have any leads on potential office space for nonprofits like this, please get in touch.)
Any donations received through this campaign – all 100% – will go to help the TRC rise from the ashes and continue to serve family caregivers across the state.
